Count Forward From Any Number

Go to Math Operation

Count forward one step at a time

When you count forward, each new number is 1 more than the one before it. Start from the given number and keep adding 1 for each blank in the sequence.

How to do it

  1. Find the starting number. Say it aloud if that helps.
  2. Add 1 each time. The next number is always the one after it in counting order.
  3. Fill in the sequence in order. Write the next number in each blank.
  4. Keep the pattern steady. Do not skip numbers or repeat one unless the sequence shows it.

Example idea

If you start at 7, the next numbers are 8, 9, 10, and so on.

Check your work

Read the completed sequence out loud from the beginning. If each number increases by 1, your answer is correct. If you notice a jump of 2 or a repeated number, go back and fix the sequence.
