When you sort shapes by attributes, you group figures that share the same property. An attribute can be the number of sides, the number of vertices, whether the sides are equal, or whether the figure is curved or straight.

Read the sorting rule carefully. If the task asks for shapes with a certain number of sides, ignore other features for the moment. If it asks about equal sides or corners, focus only on that property.

2. Check each shape systematically

Go through the shapes one by one and decide whether each shape fits the chosen attribute. It helps to count carefully:

• corners (vertices)
• equal sides
• curved parts

3. Place each shape in the correct group

Put each figure into the group that matches its attribute. If a shape does not match the rule, place it in the other group or leave it out, depending on the directions.

4. Simplify the final answer

Your final response should list the groups clearly and only include the shapes that belong in each one. If you wrote extra notes while working, remove them and keep the answer neat.
